ASN Friendly Recorders

Hello all ASNers and future ASN's. I wanted to reach out to our community to see where everyone has had luck recording their Freedom Bundles.

I have found out that Jackson County Recorders (Medford) is ASN friendly. However, it seems to be very pricey. The rough estimate I have for 1 recording with 5 documents and 23 pages with 3 certified copies is about $280.

Does anyone else know of any ASN friendly Oregon County Recorders offices and the rough pricing they would like to share?

I understand that many people are mailing theirs to Arizona for recording. Does anyone have rough pricing to record their?

Thanks in advance for any insight you can provide myself and the community!

We sent our documents to Pima County, AZ. Friendly and easy to deal with. Turn around time was about 10 days.

Pima County will record your document for $30. The recording document fee does not have a page count limit. It includes sending your document back to you. If you want a certified copy of your document, they will send you a certified stamped copy for $3 + $1 per sheet. My Status Doc was 26 pages. My wife's Status Doc was 30 pages.

My doc $30
Wife Doc $30
My CertCopy: $29
Wife CertCopy: $33
TOTAL:  $122

Sauna, thank you so much for posting the recording information for Pima! I really appreciate you taking the time to do that.

Onward and upward!

I am hearing of no friendly recorders in our state. The only way to solve this is to go forward and pursue recording ourselves and break down the walls. It is time for our clerks to realize they serve us and are supposed to follow their own codes/statues concerning recording the publics' documents. We have one of We The People attempting to go around and teach clerks they need to record. He can then bill them when they don't comply. I do wish I knew more about this process so I could do the same in Lane County where I would like to record.

In the meantime, I used Eddy County in New Mexico and they are nice, friendly and compliant with my requests. The charge to record a full document is $25 and if you want to certify your copies, it is best to call them and ask directly but it is about $1 per page. They DO require notarized documents and have found that three witnesses was not enough for them to record my document. That might be a violation in and of itself but I have yet to bill and take on the system.

We used LaPaz county in AZ. Very friendly, and fast. Notes on ASN say "Will usually do it same day", which wasn't far off. I think it was by the 2nd day. We did need to include 2 return envelopes, but were ok mailing 2 documents to them in 1 envelope. http://www.co.la-paz.az.us/213/Recorder.

Rate was $30 flat fee to record, then additional $1.00/page for them to send certify copies I believe.

I ended up going with La Paz as well. From the day I mailed it off (snail mail) to the day it returned (snail mail), it took 7 days. This was over the Thanksgiving holiday too. Pretty fast turnaround time.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Much appreciated.
